Iron Daybeds

Beautifully Handcrafted

.... sleeping area for ultimate ease of use and versatility.

Moreover, as common with every metal bed in our range, the quality and manufacturing ethos remains the same.

Whilst we refer to our day beds as being “Iron”, it is actually steel that we use as the base metal of choice.

Once the basic tubular components are cut to length, they are then welded using a heavy metal jig as a template to ensure conformity and precise dimensional accuracy.

Hand poured molten aluminium is then used to create the decorative castings, which imparts a unique persona and immense strength and rigidity.

Once the castings are set we remove any burrs or imperfections by filing before subjecting the raw structure to a shot blasting process, which prepares the day bed for the painting stage of manufacture. After further rigorous quality inspection the metalwork is hung from a moving track and enters the paint booth where a quality powder coating is applied at very high temperatures before being baked in ovens to ensure a super hard resilient finish.

Further quality checks ensure a flawless appearance before the addition of any further ornamentation or hand applied patinas, should this be a feature of the design or where specified by the customer.

It is these painstaking but time-honoured construction methods that result in a Day Bed of immense style and unquestionable durability.

And our passion for quality does not end there as we extend the same standards to our packaging procedures to ensure that your day bed arrives in the same pristine condition as the moment it left our factory.

A combination of heavy-duty, heat sealed shrink-wrap, protective polystyrene padding and tough corrugated boxing ensure that the vagaries of onward handling need never cause concern, even for worldwide shipping requests.

Such attention to detail is testimony to manufacturing and customer service values in a modern world where mass production and ubiquity is often the norm.

Our day beds maintain a furniture tradition that reflects the romance and versatility of those ancient forefathers in a demanding age for the most discerning customer.
