For over 20 years, The Original Bed Co has been making beds, bed frames & other bedroom furniture which are durable, desirable and affordable. The bed designs we make are a homage to traditionally made beds.
We use as many traditional techniques as we can to ensure that our bed frames are well made and designed to last a long time. All of our bed frames come with a standard 5 year warranty so you can buy with confidence.
Do your beds offer great value?
Our beds are not designed to be the lowest priced beds, but with the quality and service we provide they are one of the best value beds on the market. We price our beds as best as possible so that we keep the same price throughout the year. However, this does mean we don't have sales and special offers. Simply the best price we can provide all year round.
What is the difference between a bed frame and a divan?
Bed frames (or bedsteads) are an alternative to box springs or divans which are extremely popular around the world. Bed frames have a number of advantages over divans but both types of beds have their place in the world.
A bed frame includes a head end, a foot end and something to connect these two together. Our bed frames include a frame onto which you can put a mattress as standard.
Divans are a platform (whether sprung or flat) onto which you can place your mattress. They do not include a headend or footend and are less ornate in their designs. But some divans do come with headends.

What sizes of bed frames do you make?
Most of our bed frames are available in standard Indian bed sizes. This includes:, , and sizes.
- Single beds (90cm x 190cm or 36" X 75"): Ideal for one person, the single bed is a great choice for children's rooms, guest rooms, or any space where room is limited.
